Elton Tsang Wins Event #8 for $684,000

Elton Tsang has won the penultimate event of Super High Roller Series Europe, taking home the $684,000 first-place prize after emerging victorious in Event #8: $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em.
With his first victory of the series and fifth cash overall, Tsang now moves into third place on the Super High Roller Series leaderboard. Tsang trails Phil Ivey and Daniel Dvoress with Super High Roller Bowl Europe and Event #9: $50,000 Short Deck remaining on the schedule.
Nick Petrangelo collected his first cash of the series after finishing in fifth place, while Danny Tang collected his fourth cash after finishing in fourth place. Daniel Dvoress tied Jason Koon for the most cashes of the series with six as he finished runner-up to Tsang and closed the gap on Ivey in the Super High Roller Series Europe standings.

2022 Super High Roller Series Leaderboard Top 10
Phil Ivey has one hand on the Super High Roller Series Europe championship as he stands alone on top of the 2022 Super High Roller Series Europe leaderboard with 1,725 points. Daniel Dvoress will need to win the Event #9 finale to have any chance of catching Ivey, while results from the Super High Roller Bowl Europe final table could put others in contention.
The player that accumulates the most PGT leaderboard points throughout all events will win the Super High Roller Series Championship and a $25,000 championship bonus.

The 38-entrant field in the 2022 Super High Roller Series Europe Event #8: $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em has created a prize pool of $1,900,000 and will pay the top six finishers.

Super High Roller Series Europe Event #8: $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em Starts Thursday, April 14, at 8 p.m.

Welcome to the Merit Royal Hotel Casino & Spa in North Cyprus for Super High Roller Series Europe presented by Luxon Pay and Event #8: $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em.
The inaugural Super High Roller Series Europe was held in August 2021 with Phil Ivey, Johan Guilbert, Tony G, Selahaddin Bedir, Santi Jiang, Artur Martirosyan, Seth Davies, and Ali Imsirovic all winning titles. The marquee Super High Roller Bowl Europe attracted 41 entrants and saw Wiktor Malinowski collect the $3.69 million first-place prize. For the 2022 Super High Roller Series Europe, there will be ten events on the schedule with disciplines including No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and Short Deck, while buy-ins range from $25,000 to $100,000 along with the $250,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl Europe that starts on April 13. Prior to Super High Roller Series Europe, Triton Cyprus will be running four events starting on April 2 with two No-Limit Hold’em and two Short Deck tournaments.
This tournament is part of the PokerGO Tour with players earning points based on the amount they cash for. The full PokerGO Tour schedule can be found here, and the current PokerGO Tour leaderboard is available here.
Event #8 will see players begin with 150,000 in starting chips, and levels will be 40-minutes in duration with a 10-minute break every two levels. Players that register before the start time of 2 p.m. PT will not have to pay rake on their tournament entry, but this will not apply for late entries and re-entries. Registration closes at the start of Level 7, and players are allowed unlimited reentries. The 30-second shot clock will be in-play with each player receiving six 30-second time extensions per entry. The final six players will receive an additional six 30-second time extensions. The final table for this event will be streamed the following day on PokerGO’s YouTube channel.
