Larry Wright Turns a Straight on Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen opened to 11,000 in the hijack and Larry Wright defended his big blind to see a [8h][3d][9c] flop.
Both players checked through to see the [th] on the turn. Wright bet out 7,000, and Foxen called as the [7d] landed on the river.
As Wright’s time was about to expire, he turned to the dealer and asked, “Do I owe a chip?”
The dealer nodded, and Wright tossed in a time extension chip before pushing out a stack of chips amounting to 58,000.
Foxen immediately called, and Wright tabled his [qc][jc] for the nut straight and Foxen mucked.
