Welcome to the ARIA Resort & Casino and the PokerGO Studio for the 2019 U.S. Poker Open and Event #3 – $10,000 Short Deck Poker.
In 2018, the U.S. Poker Open was a new event added to the string of Poker Central high roller tournaments and the eight events on the schedule saw the likes of Justin Bonomo, Mike Gorodinsky, Stephen Chidwick, Ben Tollerene, Benjamin Pollak, David Peters, and Keith Tilston capture victories over the course of 11 days. On the back of back-to-back victories in Event 3 and Event 4, along with two other final tables, Chidwick would be crowned the U.S. Poker Open Champion after amassing $1,256,650 in earnings.
Chidwick has kicked off this year’s U.S. Poker Open by winning Event #1 – $10,000 No Limit Hold’em for $216,000 after defeating Sean Winter heads-up and is now chip leader at the final table of Event #3 – $10,000 No Limit Hold’em where Winter is also appearing at. Both players are currently chasing Jordan Cristos who sits atop the U.S. Poker Open leaderboard, and depending on their finishes, can move into first or second outright.

Today will see the fourth event of the U.S. Poker Open with Event #4 – $10,000 Short Deck Poker. Players will begin with three 100,000-chip bullets and be playing 30-minute levels with play ending once the final table is down to six players. There are no tournament fees for players who register by 2 p.m. and each player is allowed two re-entries through the first nine levels (ending approximately 7 p.m. local time). There is also a 30-second shot clock in play for the duration of the tournament and each player will receive three 60-second time banks each day.
Also playing out today is the completion of Event #3 as the final eight players are all fighting for the $218,400 first-place prize from 4 p.m. (EST). Follow along with the coverage on PokerCentral.com, or watch along on PokerGO.
