Through the Lens: Tension Builds on Day 4

FEWER THAN 400 PLAYERS REMAIN IN THE WORLD’S LARGEST EVENT

The fourth day of the 2019 WSOP Main Event has wrapped up and tensions are starting to build as we get closer and closer to the final table. On Day 4, previous champions fell as Qui Nguyen was eliminated, while other players amassed big stacks in an attempt to compete for the $10,000,000 top prize.

Here are some of my favorite Day 4 images.

2016 Main Event winner Qui Nguyen had quite the rollercoaster of a day. After winning a pot to contest for the chip lead, Nguyen lost an even bigger pot just a few minutes later. He was eliminated late on Day 4. 
Adam Friedman has never had an issue wearing his emotions on his sleeve, and yesterday on Day 4 was no different. In this hand Friedman’s opponent made a big bet and Friedman stood out of his chair before asking someone to call the clock on him.
Joseph Cheong is no stranger to deep runs in the Main Event. Cheong won his first bracelet earlier this summer and is looking to capitalize on having a pile of chips deep in the Main Event. In this hand, Cheong fired the flop and turn, before moving all in on the river. His opponent folded.
