Chidwick Out, Katz Doubles
The final few minutes of Level 5 saw action on two of three tables.
First Stephen Chidwick busted, and quickly re-entered to bump Event #2 to 19 entrants, before Cary Katz doubled through chip leader Mike Watson.
The big stack bubbled Event #1 earlier today and while he’s built his stack since taking his £10,000 Pot Limit Omaha seat, Watson is now working closer to the chip average instead of the chip lead after his recent run-in.
Action was picked up with Katz all-in on a board of [3h3s2s] with [JdTc4d3d]. Watson, who had continued from the button and called his opponent’s check-jam, held [KsKdJs2d] and needed to hit to score the knockout.
He couldn’t, as the [Ac] and [Ah] completed the board and moved Katz back over a starting stack.
