Stephen Chidwick has crashed out just before the heads-up here in Aspers Casino in London, as Sam Soverel entered the heads-up duel with a lead thanks to busting the Brit.
Chidwick defended with [KcQc9d6s], up against Soverel’s [KsJs4d3s], and the two men saw a dramatic flop of [KdKhJd] give Soverel a full house and Chidwick trip kings.
Both players checked, but on the [2c] turn, Chidwick used a time extension chip, before betting just 75,00 of his remaining 310,000-chip stack. Soverel merely called, setting up the river, and it landed [2d], which was enough to tempt Chidwick into a river bet of 230,000, and the all-in from Soverel saw Chidwick’s retained final chip go into the middle and then be moved over to Sam Soverel with the rest of them as the British player bowed out.
Just the two American players remain in the hunt for the second BPO title of the series.
