Gabriel Andrade Tops Day 1B of MILLIONS World Bahamas Main Event

Day 1B of the $10,300 buy-in MILLIONS World Bahamas Main Event as part of the partypoker LIVE Caribbean Poker Party has come to a conclusion with the 272-entrant field reduced to 134 players heading into Day 2 as American Gabriel Andrade finished as the overall chip leader with 6,655,000 in chips.

Based out of Houston, Texas, Andrade has amassed over $300,000 in lifetime career earnings with his biggest career score being a 271st finish in the 2019 WSOP Main Event for $43,935 in prize money. Andrade will head into Day 2 as the overall chip leader after topping Frenchman Pierre Calamusa who finished with 5.8 million in chips.

On the heels of Andrade are Norbert Szecsi (5,500,000), Jorryt van Hoof (4,775,000), partypoker pro Philipp Gruissem (4,585,000), Rafael Jarufe (4,420,000), and Florian Lohnert (4,200,000) as the only players over the 4 million chip mark.

Also surviving into Day 2 are partypoker pros Ludovic Geilich (2,260,000), Carl Froch (1,855,000), Bertrand Grospellier (1,730,000), Josip Simunic (1,300,000), Kristin Bicknell (1,270,000), Renato Nomura (1,255,000), Roberto Romanello (1,200,000) and Marcel Luske (895,000).

Day 1A attracted 423 entrants and finished with 231 players, while Day 1B saw 134 players survive from the 272 entrants to see 365 players returning for Day 2. Everyone that survives not only Day 1, but also Day 2, will join the 10 players surviving the 71-entrant partypoker online flights where Nino Ullman finished as the chip leader with 16,467,791 in chips and is followed by Nick Marchington (8.7 million), Stefan Schillhabel (5.1 million), and Thomas Boivin (1.2 million).

Day 2 of the MILLIONS World Bahamas Main Event is set to begin at 12 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, November 21, with Poker Central providing continuous live updates throughout the entire event, and the remainder of the Caribbean Poker Party. Along with the Poker Central live updates from the floor of the Baha Mar Casino, PokerGO coverage will begin at 10 a.m. (PT) / 1 p.m. (ET) from Day 2 onwards.

With about 340,000 in the pot and the board reading [6cTdKh5d], Gabriel Andrade bet 115,000 from the small blind and Krasimir Yankov called from early position.

The river was the [Th], Andrade bet 205,000, Yankov raised to 505,000 and Andrade used a time extension before he called.

Yankov showed [Ad9d] for a missed flush draw, while Andrade tabled [Jc9s] for a king-high straight to win the pot.

From under the gun, partypoker pro Philipp Gruissem raised to 55,000. Kliment Tarmakov three-bet to 160,000 from the cutoff, Gruissem four-bet to 380,000 and Tarmakov called.

The flop was [8s4s9c], Gruissem continued for 275,000, Tarmakov raised all in for 1,430,000 and Gruissem called.

The [Th] turn and [Kc] river completed the board, giving Gruissem a set of kings on the river to eliminate Tarmakov.

With about 1,200,000 in the pot and the board reading [7cKhQs6c], Jorryt van Hoof checked from the big blind and Benny Glaser checked from the cutoff. Martin Mulsow shoved for 1,075,000 from the button, van Hoof confirmed the count before he reshoved and Glaser folded.
