Dan Shak finished Day 1 as the chip leader with 2,570,000 in chips ahead of Jake Daniels who spent the majority of the evening on top. Behind those two are Steve Zolotow, Tim McDermott, Sergi Reixach, Stephen Chidwick, and Barry Hutter. The final seven players are all guaranteed $47,500 in prize money, but eyes are on the title and $218,500 first-place prize.
