Through the Lens: Big Names & Big Stacks on Day 2A/B

THE MAIN EVENT START HEATING UP, HERE ARE THE PICS

Yesterday, Day 1A and 1B combined into Day 2AB, with plenty of big names and notables returning for action. One of the crazier stories of the day was when Kelly Minkin lost a big hand early, leaving her with just 9,800 in chips. Minkin somehow found a way to spin it up, and eventually, put over 400,000 in the bag heading into Day 3. 2016 Main Event champion, Qui Nguyen, also put a pile of chips into the bag heading into Day 3, along with longtime pro Daniel Colpoys. Here are some of my favorite images from Day 2AB!

Daniel Colpoys had a huge stack for majority of play on Day 2AB, but slipped a little in the last level of play. Colpoys still has plenty as he will take 392,800 into Day 3 of the Main Event.
It felt a bit like 2016 all over again as Qui Nguyen built a mountain over the course of Day 2AB.
The 2016 Main Event champion will take a whopping 602,400 chips into Day 3. He seems poised to make another deep run in the biggest event of the year. ESPN Cameras were on Nguyen all day, as he tries to make history and take this event down for a second time.
We have all heard the tall tales of a “chip and a chair,” but Kelly Minkin rewrote the book yesterday. Minkin ran her flush into a bigger flush earlier in the day yesterday and was left with just 9,800 in chips. Minkin managed to bag 444,500 at the end of play. Can she once again be the last woman standing in the Main Event?
Unfortunately for us, Bryan Devonshire and his cow outfit have hit the end of the road here in the Main Event. Devonshire flopped a set in his final hand of the event, and ran into a back door straight against his opponent to be eliminated.
