We are officially closing in on the end of the first week of the WSOP, which also happened to be one fo the craziest weeks at the Rio ever. A record number of players turned out to take their shot at some of the opening events including the Big Fifty, and the $600 Deepstack, as well as some of the biggest names for the $50k High Roller. Moving forward with my blogs through the summer, I’m going to try and provide a different perspective of all things WSOP, and shoot primarily in black and white. I love the feel of the black and white images, especially when it comes to behind the scenes photos. You can also check out my daily portrait series, The World Series of Portraits, over on my twitter where I post a new portrait everyday of someone from the WSOP. Below are some of my favorite images from the first week here at the Rio!
