Through the Lens: Soverel Conquering London

WATCH THE BRITISH POKER OPEN ON POKERGO

Through five and half events, it has been all Sam Soverel here at the 2019 British Poker Open. Earlier today Soverel captured his first title of the series, after falling short with two 2nd place finishes earlier this week. Soverel has cashed already for over £500,000 heading into Event 6, which also kicked off today. Event 6 drew a total of 22 players, with 5 advancing to the live stream tomorrows. Here is a photo recap of some of the action today.

Rainer Kempe finished 2nd in Event 5 earlier today, after losing to Sam Soverel heads up. This was Kempe’s first cash of the series, but he earned enough points to bump himself into the top 10 in the British Poker Open points standings.
It seems as if every day that passes, Sam Soverel inches closer and closer to winning that British Poker Open trophy. Soverel’s results have been outstanding up until this point, so it will be interesting to see if he can maintain momentum heading into the second week of the series.
Timothy Adams was a chip magnet in Event 6, as he seemingly knocked out everyone he was in a pot against. At one point Adams held nearly 50% of the chips in play with 11 people left. After Ali Imsirovic spiked a two-outer, Adams was brought back down to earth holding a little less than average with 6 people remaining.
A look into the life of Timothy Adams earlier on in Event 6.
Ali Imsirovic seemed as if he could be the bubble boy for tomorrows feature table, as the Poker Master got in the last of his chips holding two eights against the two aces of Timothy Adams. Imsirovic spike one of his two outs for the full double.
