Through the Lens: Soverel Cries Wolff

GEORGE WOLFF DEFEATS SAM SOVEREL FOR THE EVENT #2 CROWN

Day 3 of the 2019 British Poker Open has come to completion as players just bagged in Event 3, the £10,000 NLH Event. Earlier today George Wolff edged out Sam Soverel in Event 2, the £10,000 Pot Limit Omaha event.

While the title was a first for Wolff, Soverel picked up steam in the High Roller of the Year race, as he just adds to his points lead. Event 3 drew a total of 46 entries, making it the biggest of the series thus far. Here are some of my favorite images from today’s play!

All eyes were on Sam Soverel, as the front runner for High Roller Player of the Year, took over the chip lead while three-handed in the £10K PLO event.
A big pot brews at the final table of Event #2 at the 2019 British Poker Open.
George Wolff was all smiles as he added the £10K PLO title to his resume.
The reigning US Poker Open Champion, David Peters, made his first appearance today in London. Unfortunately for Peters, he was eliminated late into Day 1.
Also making their first appearance of the series was Party Poker Pro, Kristen Bicknell. Bicknell told us she planned to played Event 1, but was so tired she missed her flight out of Barcelona. Bicknell was eliminated from play late on Day 1, but is expected to be around for majority of the series!
