Through the Lens: The Tale of Two Brothers

DON’T MISS THE BRITISH POKER OPEN ON POKERGO

Another day has come and gone here at Aspers Casino as Day 6 of the 2019 British Poker Open is officially in the books. Earlier in the week, we saw Luc Greenwood take home the title in Event 1, the £10,000 NLH. Today, Sam Greenwood captured the second trophy for the family, taking home 1st in the £10,000 Short Deck event. Greenwood overcame a tough table that included Cary Katz, Danny Tang, Anson Tsang, and Robert Flink. This result boosted Sam Greenwood into 2nd place in the British Poker Open points race, behind Sam Soverel.

Also kicking off today was the £25,000 NLH event in which we saw a total of 28 entries. As the theme has been all week, Sam Soverel is at another final table. Soverel will be looking to add to his lead on the points race, but will have to battle it out against the likes of Vincent Bosca, Stephen Chidwick, Christoph Vogelsang, and Ali Imsirovic. Here are some of my favorite images from the day!

A look at the Event 4 final table featuring Sam Greenwood, Cary Katz, Danny Tang, Robert Flink, and Anson Tsang.
Danny Tang came into the final table with the shortest stack and was the unfortunate bubble boy here in Event 4.

Plenty of new faces turned up for today’s £25,000 NLH Event, including high stakes legend Patrik Antonious.
Sam Soverel is at ANOTHER British Poker Open final table. Soverel is on pace to not only run away with the British Poker Open championship, but potentially High Roller of the Year as well.
