Alex Foxen Eliminated by Luc Greenwood
A few hands after the elimination of Cary Katz, another player hit the rail to drop Event #1 of the British Poker Open down to seven players.
Action started with Luc Greenwood raising to 16,000 from the button. Steve O’Dwyer folded his small blind, before Alex Foxen called in the big.
Foxen check-called a bet of 26,000 after the [Js6d3d] flop and check-called 60,000 after the [Ah] fell on the turn.
The [9s] completed the board and Foxen checked for a third time. Greenwood used a time extension before firing another bet, this time putting Foxen all-in.
After cutting down his close to 100,000 chip stack, Foxen used a time extension of his own and called before he had to use a second, only to see Greenwood table [As5d]. Foxen flashed [6s4s] and Greenwood’s turned pair turned the reigning GPI Player of the Year to the rail in 8th place.
The remaining seven players are scheduled to play until two more eliminations are registered.
