Welcome back to the Aspers Casino in Stratford, London, for the final event of the British Poker Open with Event #10 £100,000 NLH.
The first eight events of the British Poker Open schedule saw buy-ins ranging from £10,000 to £25,000, and yesterday saw the stakes raised to £50,000 for Event #9. With the final event of the series now upon us, the buy-in will double once again with each player having to ante up £100,000 to take a seat in the concluding event of the British Poker Open.
So far, the likes of Sam Greenwood, Luc Greenwood, Paul Newey, George Wolff, Sergi Reixach, Stephen Chidwick, and Mikita Badziakouski have all collected British Poker Open titles. However, it is Sam Soverel crushing the British Poker Open as he has two victories, two second-place finishes, and a third-place result. On the back of these five results, Soverel has now locked up the British Poker Open title as he sits with 780 points ahead of Chidwick (420 points) as there are only 350 points available for first-place.
With Event #10 taking center stage at 12 p.m. local time, it will see players begin with 200,000 in starting chips and levels will be 30-minutes in duration with a 10-minute break every three levels. Registration will be open through the first nine levels and players have the option for two re-entries.
