Flink First To Double?
There have already been a few double ups during the first handful of Event #2 levels, but Robert Flink just entered and has a chance to record the first British Poker Open double.
The Swedish pro prefers cash games to tournaments, but that might not have been the case over the last two days. Flink was near the top of the counts throughout the opening £10,000 No Limit Hold’em event and then fought his way into the money and onto the podium at the Event #1 final table.
The £41,600 score opens his British Poker Open account and we expect he isn’t the only player to cash in Event #1 that we’ll see return for more BPO action today.

Chidwick Out, Katz Doubles
The final few minutes of Level 5 saw action on two of three tables.
First Stephen Chidwick busted, and quickly re-entered to bump Event #2 to 19 entrants, before Cary Katz doubled through chip leader Mike Watson.
The big stack bubbled Event #1 earlier today and while he’s built his stack since taking his £10,000 Pot Limit Omaha seat, Watson is now working closer to the chip average instead of the chip lead after his recent run-in.
Action was picked up with Katz all-in on a board of [3h3s2s] with [JdTc4d3d]. Watson, who had continued from the button and called his opponent’s check-jam, held [KsKdJs2d] and needed to hit to score the knockout.
He couldn’t, as the [Ac] and [Ah] completed the board and moved Katz back over a starting stack.

Value for Kyllonen, Vieira Eliminated
We just caught the end of a big pot where Jens Kyllonen took a chunk out of Sam Soverel’s stack. The board read [4s6cTh5cAh] and Soverel called a bet of 60,000 only to get shown [AdJc8d7h] for an eight-high straight from the Finn. Soverel mucked and lost a sizable portion of his stack.
Meanwhile, on another table, Joao Vieira’s seat was seen empty and that makes him the first player to get knocked out from this event. Every player has the option to re-enter twice.
“Pot” is All Watson Knows
When inquiring with Mike Watson what happened prior to when we picked up the action on the turn after he raked in a nice pot, he said the following.
“Pot, then pot, and all in,” the Canadian pro said with a smile.
Piecing the action back together brings us to the hand having played out as follows.
George Wolff raised to 7,000 from the button and Watson three-bet pot from the big blind which was called by Wolff.
The flop brought out [Td9s2d] and Watson bet 47,000 after which Wolff called. On the turn, the [9h] hit and Watson moved all in for what looked like 57,000. Wolff folded quickly and Watson raked in the pot right after busting the £10,000 No-Limit Hold’em opening event on the bubble.

Small One for Tsang
Surprisingly, there has still not been any elimination despite players starting with 100 big blinds in this Pot Limit Omaha tournament.
The board showed [2s3cJd5s3s] when Jake Schindler bet 2,500 and Anson Tsang raised to 11,000. After a few seconds, Schindler called but only to muck when he was showed [QsQh3h6d].
