Cary Katz Eliminates Xiao Yang Luo
Cary Katz just scored a knockout and more or less doubled in the process to move over the chip average.
Action was picked up on the turn, with the board reading [Jc9d3h2h] and Katz betting 88,000. Xiao Yang Luo check-called from the blinds and the two took similar stacks to the river.
The [10c] completed the board and Luo instantly checked. Katz took some time and with a few seconds left on his clock he moved all-in.
Luo leaned back in his chair and exhaled, before throwing in a few chips for a call. He threw over [JdJs] and stood up after Katz turned over [KsQc].
As Luo began to exit the tournament area he was called back, the stacks were that close. Eventually, his was cut down to 225,000 and Katz had him barely covered with 4,000 more chips.
When Luo did exit, eight players remained and Event #3 officially was on the bubble.

Bicknell, Luc Greenwood Bust
Three of the four Canadian’s remaining in today’s British Poker Open event returned from break as short stacks and after Mike Watson busted midway through Level 13, the other two followed him to the rail.
Kristen Bicknell was eliminated by Sam Greenwood after [AsKh] couldn’t beat [TdTh] to get the partypoker pro back near 20 big blinds. Luc Greenwood then busted to Stephen Chidwick, after he got his final ten big blinds with [KdJd]. Chidwick held [AcJs] and hit top pair on the flop to confirm the knockout.
While Chidwick was also short, Sam Greenwood is above the chip average and still alive to become the second Greenwood to win BPO gold so far this week.

Soverel Busts Watson, Aldemir Doubles Through Chidwick
Mike Watson shoved his final 130,000 from late position and Sam Soverel called in the big blind with [3d3c].
The chip leader was flipping against Watson’s [KdQh] and the small pair held on the [10c8h7c4d4d] runout.
Watson was eliminated in 13th place and a moment later, Koray Aldemir doubled in a blind vs. blind battle on the other table.

The board ran out [9h4s2hJhKc] and Chidwick sent the double to his left.
After that hand, Cary Katz was moved to Table 1 to balance the lineups.
