Fast and furious action continued on all three tables towards the midway point of Level 12.
First, Salman Behbehani busted to Mikita Badziakouski after he shoved his final 130,000 into the Belarusian’s big blind. Badziakouski called and was flipping with [4h4s] against [AcQd].
That flip was pretty much over after the [7h4d2d] flop and after Behbehani didn’t pick up a diamond on the turn his elimination was confirmed.
While that board ran out on Table 3, Koray Aldemir and Xiao Yang Luo were playing a big one on Table 2.
Aldemir, who was in the big blind, checked the [Qc6s3sJd] flop and called after Luo bet 62,000.
The [As] completed the board and Aldemir checked again. Luo used a time extension before he bet 68,000 and Aldemir used a time extension of his own before he moved all-in. Luo got a count, but did not call the 172,000 chip shove.
As those stacks settled, with Aldemir playing over 400,000 and Luo hovering near 250,000, Sam Soverel and Joao Vieira flipped for a pile on Table 1.
Soverel held [9h9s] and the pair held against Vieira’s [AcQc] on the [Js8c3h3c2s] runout.
Play is now down to the final two tables and the remaining players are a few minutes from their next break.

We were just informed that Ludovic Geilich and Brian Green were eliminated on the same hand. Apparently, Gelich was all in for just three big blinds holding seven-five suited after which Koray Aldemir moved all in from the button with queens. Brian Green, who had roughly six big blinds left, called all in from the small blind with king-queen.
Aldemir’s queens held up and two players were sent to the rail.

Picking up the action on the flop in a blind battle between Luc Greenwood and Mikita Badziakouski we just saw the following hand play out.
On a [7d3s9c] flop, Greenwood check-called 15,000.
On the turn, the [Ah] hit and Greenwood check-called another 30,000.
The river completed the board with the [Qc] and Greenwood check-folded after some deliberation when Badziakouski moved all in to put Greenwood at risk.

Double-Double on Table 2

After two doubles on Table 3, there were two more on Table 2.
They happened in quick succession and were of the pre-flop variety, starting with Koray Aldemir and Anson Tsang.
Aldemir was all-in for his tournament life with [TcTd] against Tsang’s [Ac8s].
The German got closer to a double after the [Th6c6h] flop and it was confirmed after the [8h] fell on the turn. The [7c] completed the board and Aldemir stacked up close to double the starting stack after entering during the last break.
Tsang was left with just over 30,000 and Ludovic Geilich was left even shorter after his clash with Xiao Yang Luo.
Action was picked up a few hands after Aldemir’s double, with Luo opening the button to 15,000.
Geilich, who was in the small blind, shoved for just under 240,000. The big blind folded and Luo asked for a count before asking Geilich if he had a pair.
There was no response from the partypoker pro, but there was a call from Luo. He turned over [JcJh] and was in great shape against [4d4c].
The board ran out [9s7c6s8dAh] and the bigger pocket pair held in one of the biggest pots of the night. Luo’s effective stack weighed in at 216,000 and he’s now near the chip lead.
Shortly after those doubles, Morten Klein was eliminated on Table 3.

Two Doubles on Table 3

Over the last few minutes, two players have doubled on Table 3 to get back into contention.
David Peters was first. The reigning U.S. Poker Open champion got all-in against Morten Klein for his final 129,000 and was ahead, holding [TdTc] to the Norwegian’s [6h6d].
The board ran out [Kd9s7c6c8d] and Peters went from ahead, to behind, to a river double that left Klein shaking his head with less than a starting stack in front of him.
A few hands later, Mikita Badziakouski and Luc Greenwood were locked in a blind versus blind battle on [Qd4h3h].
Greenwood checked, Badziakouski bet 10,000 and Greenwood quickly replied with a raise to 30,000.
The Belarusian then clicked it back, raising to 55,000 before Greenwood shoved for just over 155,000.
Badziakouski re-checked his cards and called, tabling [KdKs]. Greenwood turned over [Ah7h] and needed to hit to stay alive.
He did twice. The turn brought the [As] and the river completed Greenwood’s flush draw with the [5h].
“Double win.” Badziakouski said, before cutting out the double.

Badziakouski: [4h4c]
Wolff: [KcQd]
The board ran out [8c5c7dTd2d] and Wolff was sent to the rail just a few hands after he entered this event.

Greenwood’s Gutshot Busts Schindler
Jake Schindler limped in from the small blind and Sam Greenwood checked his option in the big before the flop brought out [5cQc9h].
Schindler bet 12,000 on the flop and Greenwood called.
On the turn, the [Ah] hit and Schindler bet 28,000, which Greenwood thought was 23,000, and he made the call.
The river was the [Jd] and Schindler moved all in for right around 84,000 and Greenwood called right away showing [Th8s]. Schindler showed [AdQs] as he got up before walking out of the tournament area.
“Nice straight,” Mike Watson joked after Greenwood had raked in the pot.
