One small pot and a big one from across the room.
First, Kahle Burns saw a flop from the big blind after Sam Greenwood raised to 5,500 from the button. Both players checked the [QdJd5s] flop and Burns led for 4,500 after the [8d] fell on the turn.
Greenwood called and then faced a 16,000 chip bet after the [7s] completed the board.
He folded and a few moments later, Ali Imsirovic doubled through David Peters on Table 1.
Imsirovic held [Qd9c] against Peters’ [9h7h] and both players had flopped straights on [JhTc8c].
Peters picked up some outs after the [Th] came on the turn, but he missed his flush draw after the [3s] fell on the river.
The reigning U.S. Poker Open champion shipped just over 90,000 to the reigning Poker Masters champion and both players are still looking for their first British Poker Open cash.
