The British Poker Open has been dominated by two-card events, but now it is time for the second Pot-Limit Omaha event of the series with Event #7 £25,000 PLO from the Aspers Casino in Stratford, London.
Earlier in the week, George Wolff defeated a 30-entrant field to win Event #2 £10,000 PLO for £120,000 on a final table that included Stephen Chidwic, Gavin Cochrane, Jens Kyllonen, Joni Jouhkimainen, and Sam Soverel. It is expected that the PLO specialists will return to the Aspers Casino as they stakes have been raised and more prize money will be on offer.
The British Poker Open has seen the conclusion of five events while Event #6 £25,000 No-Limit Hold’em is down to the final five players with Elio Fox headlining the final table which includes Timothy Adams, Michael Zhang, Ali Imsirovic, and Sergi Reixach.
Following Sam Soverel’s victory in Event #5, he holds a mammoth lead in the British Poker Open title leaderboard as he sits with 480 points ahead of Sam Greenwood (260 points), Robert Flink (240 points), and Stephen Chidwick (220 points).
Play begins in Event #7 £25,000 PLO at 12 p.m. local time with registration open until the start of level 10.
