Welcome to the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Super High Roller Series here in Sochi, Russia for Event #2: $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em.
The partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Super High Roller Series will have a total of eight different events over ten days, ranging from buy-ins of $25,000 – $250,000 with half of the tournaments being No-Limit Holdem and the other half Short Deck.
Today will see the second tournament kick-off as Event #2: $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em is set to begin at 2 p.m. Players will begin with 125,000 in starting chips and be playing 45-minute levels with play ending once the final table is down to six players. The runners who register by 2 p.m. will only have to cough up half of the $1,000 fee but anyone who re-enters or joins late will be paying in full. Players may re-enter or late register until the start of level 6.
Event #1: $25,000 Short Deck started off the festivities of this Super High Roller Series here in Sochi, accumulating 42 entries by the time late registration closed and will be resuming today at 2 p.m. to battle down to a champion. Malaysian pro Wai Chan Leong has an extensive chip lead over his competitors headed into the final day with over a quarter of the chips in play but will have to fend off some of the best in the world, including Stephen Chidwick who sits fourth in chips and will be looking to climb the ranks of High Roller of the Year Leaderboard with a strong cash in the opening event here in Sochi.
