Paul Phua Wins Event #6 and $1,512,000 After Returning as Short Stack
Having pursued a trophy here in Sochi with determination, high roller veteran Paul Phua has finally won one on his fourth final table appearance. Starting the day short stacked, he battled through the bubble (a third of today’s final went home empty-handed) to lift the trophy after seeing off Matthias Eibinger heads up in Event #6 $100,000 No Limit Holdem and take home over $1.5 million from a total prize pool of $4.2 million.
