Sam Greenwood Sends a Stack to Jason Koon
The completed board read [ac9s7ctdjh] and Jason Koon had all of his chips in the middle, totaling 120,500. Sam Greenwood was his only competitor and he took his time en route to making a decision.
Ultimately Greenwood called for less, putting his total 87,000 stack into the pot and he tabled [ahqh] for top pair. Koon showed [9d8d] for a straight and more than enough to force the Canadian to use an add-on chip.

Welcome to the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Super High Roller Series here in Sochi, Russia for Event #7: $50,000 Short Deck.
The Sochi, Russia Super High Roller Series is now winding down and just three tournaments remain with the last $50,000 buy-in event slated to begin today at 3 p.m. (MSK) when the second last Short Deck tournament is set to begin. All players will be starting with 300,000 in chips with 30-minute levels throughout the day. This tournament has a $2,000 fee but any player who jumps in before the start of the day will only be charged half with all later registrants and re-entries being charged in full. The late registration and re-entry period will remain open until the start of level 11.
The last $50,000 Short Deck event saw Phil Ivey and Wai Kin Yong as the last two standing with Ivey in the driver’s seat. Ivey saw a few hands that shouldn’t have swung in the favor of his opponent but lady luck had other plans and Yong took over. The Malaysian took down the last hand when he turned a straight against Ivey’s two pair, taking down the event for $800,000.
Event #6: $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em began yesterday and had a respectable turn out of 42 for the first six-figure buy-in on the venue. The final nine will return today to battle it out with just six finding a payday. A min-cash will be taking home $252,000 with the eventual champion pulling in a hefty $1,512,000 first-place prize for their victory. Michael Addamo is currently in the lead but has some stiff competition to overcome in order to secure the win including Adrian Mateos, Matthias Eibinger, Michael Soyza, Kahle Burns, Webster Lim, Ben Heath, and two common faces at these high roller final tables in Cary Katz and Paul Phua.
