Seth Davies Out in 4th Place ($267,520)
Seth Davies made it 800,000 to go in the cutoff (from a total stack of two million) with [As7s], running smack into button Michael Soyza’s [AdQc]. He was set in and at-risk in moments. The board had him drawing to a chop only by the turn: [Kd9dJcQh], but the river [Jh] sent him to the rail.

No One Wants to Take On Davies
Michael Soyza doesn’t win every pot. Wai Kiat Lee saw a heads up limp-checked flop of [6cAd9h] (holding [Qs7h]) with cutoff Soyza (who held [Td6c]), raising to 280,000 to take it from the leader.
He said he was rooting for Soyza the next hand, however, as Seth Davies raised to 650,000 (with 950,000 behind) on the button after all three other players had called. Soyza thought for a while before folding [TxTx] and Lee said, “Ayaa! Go Soy-za, Go Soy-za!” seeing his chances of a no-risk possible ladder disappear.

Soyza Rivers Lee
It started with a limp-check, Michael Soyza calling in the cutoff with [9sTd] and button Wai Kiat Lee checking [KcTd]. The [ThTsJs] flop gave them both trips, but it was Soyza who would lead all three streets: 120,000 on the flop, 300,000 on the [Ah] turn and 650,000 on the [9h] river. This crucial card propelled Soyza’s hand into the lead; he was paid and extends his already healthy lead yet further.

Davies Stays Afloat
Now the shortest stack on the four-handed final, Seth Davies has twice in a row showed commital with preflop raises to 600,000 (playing 1,800,000), the last time with [AcQs] on the button after three callers, each time granted swift folds from his opponents.
Davies did, however, fold [KxJx] on the button when cutoff Wai Kat Lee put him all in (with [AxJx], as it turned out). “I’m a coward!” Davies joked.

Sergi Reixach Eliminated in 5th Place ($214,010)
Phil Ivey raised from the hijack to 300,000 with [AhTh]. Cutoff Sergi Reixach, playing 1,260,000 in total, looked down at [AdQh] and moved all in. Ivey looked at the pot, counted out the call, played with it for a few seconds then threw it in. Though Reixach was in good shape, the deck brought Ivey a pair on the [7hTd9c] flop that improved to a full house over the [9hTs] turn and river.

Three Pots in a Row for Wai Kiat Lee
After taking one down preflop, Wai Kiat Lee called under the gun with [QhQd]. Seth Davies, next to act, made it 390,000 with [KsQs], but folded when Lee set him in, having asked for a count (it was 1,800,000).
Now up over 3,500,000, Lee moved all in the very next hand – with [AsAc] no less – on the button after two calls. No one took him on and he continues to move his way up the chip counts.

Ivey Chops One, Wins One
Phil Ivey took on Sergi Reixach preflop for all his chips (1.5 million) with [AcKc], but Reixach held [AsKd] and they chopped the pot.
Next up, Ivey bet 150,000 on the button holding [9dTh] into four checkers who’d limped pre on a board of [JhQsQh] with no callers (the only player with any sort of hand had been Wai Kiat Lee with [JsTd]). Each big blind ante match is worth 60,000 so every pot that seems low on action is still important chipwise.
Sam Greenwood Eliminated in 6th Place ($160,510)
Sam Greenwood moved all in for 1,050,000 under the gun plus two when it folded to him with [KdQs], called by button Michael Soyza with [JhJs].
The flop of [JcQdKs] was described as “spicy” by PokerGO commentator James Dempsey, but it got no spicier with the [9c7h] turn and river; Greenwood heads to the rail and the chip leader extends his lead.
