Sinclair Thinks About Folding a Straight, Doesn’t
A player in middle position opened and Jack Sinclair (hijack) called before small blind Ezequiel Waigel called as well. The big blind in the hand was missing.
The flop of [9hQd6c] was checked through but the [8d] on the turn would make up for the flop’s lack of action. Waigel checked and the initial raiser bet 60,000. Sinclair called before Waigel check-raised to 235,000. The initial raiser and Sinclair both called to grow the pot considerably.
The [7s] completed the board and Waigel bet 425,000. The player in middle position called just about right away and the action was on Sinclair. He had a big grin on his face and tanked a fair bit. He looked up to the ceiling for some time, counted his chips and eventually tossed in the call.
Waigel mucked as he had gotten the clear message by now that at least one of his opponents had a ten. It turned out the initial raiser had [ThTc] while Sinclair showed [TsKh]. Waigel lost while the other two players chopped.

Janssen On the Big Stack
Tommie Janssen’s table was broken, so he was packing his chips and making his way to a new table. It was then that we discovered the Dutchman had a ton of them, 3.6 million to be exact.
According to Janssen, the biggest pot he won so far today was one of 1.3 million where his kings held against his opponent’s [As5s] pre-flop all-in.

As we arrived, the flop was already out with Freek Scholten (under the gun) betting 60,000 on [Tc4sQh]. Daniel Vejar in the cutoff called.
Scholten bet another 180,000 on the [5d] turn and got called again. Scholten shoved for just over 800,000 on the [Jd] river and Vejar folded.

Gonzalez With Queens
The player under the gun opened for a min-raise of 32,000 and Fabrizio Gonzalez in the hijack three-bet to 51,000, just about as small as allowed. The big blind shoved for 168,000 and the initial raiser folded. Gonzalez called.
“Oh, I can’t wait to see this one!” table mate Niall Farrell said with a big laugh.
As Gonzalez showed [QcQs], he said: “You didn’t expect that, huh?”
Farrell admitted to not having seen that hand coming, and neither did the big blind probably who showed [Ad2d].
The board ran out [2sJh9d] [Ts] [5d] and Gonzalez started stacking as the big blind exited.
