Fernandez Busts Gonzalez
Two high rollers just clashed, and it was the younger one to bite the dust. We missed most of the action, but table mate Ryan Riess was kind enough to fill us in on some of the details.
Fabrizio Gonzalez opened from early position and the small blind called. Leo Fernandez squeezed from the big blind and Gonzalez called, the small blind folded.
Fernandez would bet all three streets on [As9sKd], [3d] (300,000), [7h] (450,000.)
Gonzalez called all the way -including all-in on the river- but mucked upon being shown [Ac3c] by Fernandez.

Ludovic Geilich Eliminated
Ludovic Geilich was seen sitting with a stack of just 37,000, a fraction of the 1,000,000 we had seen him with just before. Catching our glance, he explained what happened.
Farid Jattin, who had just sat down, opened the action with a raise to 19,000 from the cutoff. Geilich found [AhKh] in the small blind and three-bet to 80,000. The big blind got out of the way but Jattin four-bet to 245,000. Geilich shoved for 1,000,000 effectively and Jattin called with [QxQx].
The flop was good for Geilich with [KxJx5x], but the [9x] on the turn and [Tx] on the river gave Jattin the straight.
Geilich had a few big blinds left after that hand but was seen exiting the tournament not much later.

Kempe’s Full House Not Big Enough
On a board of [7hJs8h] [8c], big blind Rainer Kempe bet 20,000. Michael Del Vecchio folded from under the gun but the player on the button called.
The [8d] on the river made for trips on the board and Kempe bet 25,000. The button called and won with his [TcTs] as Kempe showed [6c6s].
Kempe busted the Super High Roller earlier today, and now sits on a 950,000 stack in the Main Event.

Price Can’t Call
From the big blind, having seen the flop go checked through, Price checked once more on a board reading [TdJs8s] [9d]. His opponent in the cutoff bet 20,000 and Price called. The [5c] on the river saw Price check a third time. His opponent bet 55,000 and this time Price folded.

Nice Pot for Kiles
With the board reading [9s9hTs] [Ac], we saw the player in the cutoff check. Cassio Kiles on the button bet 15,000 and his neighbor called.
The [Ad] completed the board and the cutoff checked once more. Kiles bet 60,000 and received an instant-call.
Kiles showed [KdTd] and the cutoff mucked.
Despite winning the pot, Kiles is still down for the day sitting on a stack of 500,000.
