Marty Mathis, yesterday’s runner-up in the $25,500 Super High Roller for $213,750 and Jacob Daniels who finished third in that event for $150,000, are sitting at the same table again today. They just clashed in a sizable pot.
Marty Mathis opened under the gun for 15,000 and Jacob Daniels in the cutoff three-bet to 52,000. The button and blinds folded, Mathis called.
Daniels went for three bullets on the board of [Tc3d5s], [8c], [Kc] firing 32,000, 100,000, and 230,000 respectively.
Mathis check-called all the way.
“Ace high,” Daniels admitted.
Mathis showed [KdTd] and Daniels mucked.

Rheem Getting Short
![Chino Rheem (photo: Mickey May/partypoker)](https://storage.googleapis.com/pokercentral/2020/01/9915d1a6-49357538392_e471135925_o.jpg)
Chino Rheem is the life of the party, talking through each hand and giving commentary on just about everything – to much amusement of the entire table. Especially his neighbor Niall Farrell can’t stop laughing. On the poker side of things, though, things aren’t going too well for Rheem so far.
Just now, he opened to 13,000 from middle position and the cutoff and button called. The big blind squeezed to 50,000 and Rheem, the cutoff, and the button all called.
The flop came [2cJdQd] and the big blind bet another 50,000.
“Cincuenta,” the dealer announced.
Rheem called before the cutoff raised to 150,000.
“Ciento cincuenta,” the dealer announced.
“Oh no! That sounded like way more than cincuenta!” Rheem said as the button was folding and the big blind was calling.
“You lured me in,” Rheem said to the big blind as he called.
The dealer burned and turned the [7h].
“Oh my god, so close!” Rheem said before the big blind decided to check. Rheem too checked. The cutoff bet 300,000 and the big blind called.
“You call?” Rheem said to the big blind. “You’re luring me in! You don’t want to fold the kings huh? Ok, please let me hit,” Rheem continued as he too put in the 300,000.
The [Qh] completed the board and the big blind and Rheem checked. The cutoff bet 300,000 once more.
“You’re shaking your head because you hit the nuts huh,” Rheem said.
The big blind called and Rheem open folded his [9hTh]. The cutoff showed [QsJs] and the big blind open mucked his [AdQc].
“Of course you have the nuts. Everyone knew you had the nuts,” Rheem said laughing. “My mother doesn’t even know how to play poker and she even knew you had the nuts.”
The big blind just shook his head. Rheem, meanwhile, is down to 209,000 in chips.

Oliver Price sat in the hijack as he bet 18,000 on the [5d4s2c] flop. The player in the cutoff next to him raised to 70,000 and Price called after a moment of consideration.
The turn was the [4h] and Price checked to his opponent and he then faced a bet of 125,000. That was too much for Price as he let it go.

“Two Tens Are the Nuts!”
Chino Rheem opened for 11,000 under the gun plus one but wasn’t going to see a flop without investing a bit more. The big blind three-bet to 33,000 and Rheem called.
On the flop of [9h8s6h], the big blind bet 27,000.
“Twenty-seven?” Rheem said. “Ok!”
After Rheem called, the [Qs] hit the turn. The big blind checked and Rheem bet 53,000. The big blind called.
The [Qd] completed the board and the big blind checked.
“For some reason, I feel you have two tens,” Rheem said theatrically. “So I’m gonna check.”
“Two tens is good?” the big blind asked before showing his [KcKd].
“Two tens are the nuts!” Rheem as he mucked his cards.

Great Start for Yunis
The player under the gun opened for 10,000 and Nick Yunis, his neighbor in the hijack on the short-handed table, called. The next player over squeezed to 60,000 and the button and blinds folded. The initial raiser and Yunis called to see a flop.
The [JhThJc] flop and [Ac] turn were checked through by the trio so the [2s] on the river was seen for free. The under the gun player bet 75,000 and Yunis called. The cutoff folded.
The initial raiser showed [AdQh] but the river turned out to have been a bad card for him as Yunis showed a winner with [2d2h].
