One Bust Out Already
We didn’t really expect a player to bust so early, so we missed it. But Marty Mathis’ neighbor has exited the tournament after ten minutes of play. Mathis, who finished runner-up in the Super High Roller last night for $213,750, missed the action as well so couldn’t relay the details to us. The seat on his right is empty, making the clock indicate 34 runners active from 35 entries total so far.
Two More
Roberto Romanello gave it a try yesterday, but ultimately ran out of speed. In his final hand, his squeeze all in with ace-jack didn’t get there against the original raiser’s kings. He’s back today, sitting down right at the start.
We didn’t spot Chile’s poker superstar Nick Yunis yesterday, but he’s here today to give it a spin.
Like all everyone else, both players started things with 1,000,000 in chips.

Another Starting Day Starts at Noon

Yesterday’s Day 1a of the partypoker MILLIONS South America Main Event attracted a field of 155 entries, of whom 81 survived the eight levels. Today, another eight levels are scheduled with 1b getting underway at noon.
Once more, players get 1,000,000 in chips when they buy in for $10,300, with reentries available for those who bust. With the first level starting at 2,000 and 5,000 blinds, players signing up get 200 big blinds to battle with. Fabrizio Gonzalez trumped the competition yesterday, turning his one million into 5.5 million.
There’s a short 15-minute break after every two levels, with no dinner break scheduled. That means play will be done around 8:45 pm local time.
Today’s survivors will join Day 1a’s survivors for Day 2, where they will play on until the money phase is reached. All players making the money are joined on Day 3 of the partypoker MILLIONS South America Main Event by those having played their way to Day 3 online at partypoker.
You're all caught up!
