Scholten Doubles Kempe
Freek Scholten was seen with a much shorter stack than before and was kind enough to tell us what had happened.
Scholten opened from middle position holding [AxJx] off-suit and called Rainer Kempe’s 1.4 millon cutoff jam with [9x9x]. The board brought nothing but bricks and Kempe doubled.

Heidorn Experiences Some South American Street Poker
![Robert Heidorn](https://storage.googleapis.com/pokercentral/2020/02/18dbba73-dsc_2276.jpg)
When we arrived, the river was already out in a big pot between Robert Heidorn (small blind) and his neighbor on the button.
After the hand was over, we were told the button had opened, and Heidorn had three-bet. The button had called a bet on the [Kh9sAd] flop and a bet of over 800,000 on the [8s] turn.
Once we got there, the [As] had completed the board and Heidorn bet 1,075,000. His opponent on the button tanked for some five minutes and seemed genuinely unsure of what to do next. Then, out of nowhere, he shoved. Heidorn folded almost immediately.
The button slammed his [JhTs] on the table and started celebrating. Heidorn was a good sport and gave his opponent a high-five and acknowledged the beauty of the play.
Heidorn continues with a little over 2.2 million.

Manole Doubles Through Yunis
When we got to table 65, Nick Yunis in the small blind was seen betting 200,000 on a board of [AdJcQs] [9d] [9c] into a pot of about 625,000. Big blind Mihai Manole tanked for a bit before he shoved for 940,000 total. Yunis called but mucked his [AsTc] as soon as Manole showed [KsTh] for the flopped Broadway straight.

Luca Overbets the River
Ivan Luca raised to 135,000 from middle position and he was called by Rainer Kempe on the button and by the player in the big blind.
The [ks9s2d] flop was dealt and all three players checked. The [7h] was added to the board and all checked again and the [5h] river completed the board.
The big blind checked and Luca grabbed some chips to bet 740,000 on the river. That was too much for both Kempe and the third player in the pot.
Fernandez Has His Opponent Drawing Dead
When we got to the table, the turn was out in a hand between Leo Fernandez on the button and his opponent in the hijack. With the board reading [4hAc8h] [6c], Fernandez was all in for 1,220,000 while his opponent sat in the tank. The hijack had slightly fewer chips than Fernandez and eventually decided to call.
Leo Fernandez: [4s4d]
Hijack: [AhKc]
The hijack had no outs to stay alive, so the [Kh] on the river was just salt in the wound.

Carlos Almost Triples Without Showdown
Marty Mathis is sat at the feature table and he raised to 100,00 from the cutoff. Hugo Zanotti called from the button with [as7c]. Carlos sat in the big blind and called as well with [9h8s].
The flop fell [ad7d6h] and it had something for everyone. Big blind Carlos led out with a bet of 125,000 and Mathis raised to 300,000. Zanotti stuck around as well and Carlos called.
All three checked on the [8h] turn to see the [9d] on the river. Carlos now bet his last 255,000 and that forced folds from both Mathis and Zanotti.
Carlos is now at about 1,600,000 and Zanotti is playing 2,795,000.

Waigel Doubles
We don’t have many details, but we’re sure Ezequiel Waigel just doubled holding [10s10d] in the small blind against the cutoff’s [KhKs]. With the board reading [JxJx9x] [Tc] [6c], Waigel found the ten on the turn he was looking for to stay in the race.
