The table of death is one to keep an eye on, but the table next to it isn’t one to forget about either. That table includes four WSOP Main Event final table players, including Ryan Riess who won the WSOP Main Event back in 2013 for $8,361,570. Riess wouldn’t get involved in this hand, but the other three did.
November Niner Vojtech Ruzicka (5th in 2016 for $1,935,288) opened the action from early position and Chino Rheem (7th in 2008 for $1,772,650) called. Antoine Saout (3rd in 2009 for $3,479,670 and 5th in 2017 for $2,000,000) squeezed from the big blind before Ruzicka, who started the hand with 1.1 million, four-bet. Rheem got out of the way but Saout wasn’t going anywhere and the two ended up all in.
Vojtech Ruzicka: [AdAs]
Antoine Saout: [QsQh]
Ruzicka was in an excellent position to double up but the poker gods decided differently: [Kh10d8h] [3h] [Jh].
With the fourth heart on the river, Saout made a flush and Ruzicka was left empty-handed.
