Martin Zamani Doubles, Then Shoves on Nino Ullmann
Online Day 3 qualifier Nino Ullmann opened to 800,000 and after a fold, Martin Zamani three-bet to around 6,200,000 – leaving himself a few chips behind. The table folded back to Ullman and he shoved to put Zamani at risk.
Zamani had over a dozen extensions in front of him and after calculating that he had close to eight minutes to make a decision he briefly went into the tank. A few seconds later, Zamani rolled his remaining chips into the middle and saw he was flipping – with [AxJx] to Ullmann’s [9x9x].
The board ran out [AxQx7x4xQx] and Ullmann shipped the double.
In the very next hand, Mustapha Kanit opened in middle position and Ullmann – as the next player to act – three-bet to 2,200,000.
Almost immediately after that re-raise, Zamani four-bet shoved for just over 13,600,000.
The table folded around to Kanit and he quickly released before Ullmann did the same.
“That should make a blog or something.” Zamani said, before stacking up more than 17 million late in Level 20.
