Joe McKeehen Leads Final Nine in Event #39: $25,500 “The Big 4” High Roller

The final nine players from a 91-entry field in Event #39: $25,500 “The Big 4” High Roller concluded play at a little after 2 a.m. ET on Tuesday morning, and the group will return at 1 p.m. ET on Tuesday to battle for the $629,345 first-place prize. Leading the field is Joe McKeehen (pictured), three-time WSOP gold bracelet winner and champion of the 2015 World Series of Poker Main Event. McKeehen bagged 2.235 million and is the only player to bag more than 2 million in chips.
Darren Elias, a four-time World Poker Tour champion, is closest to McKeehen on the leaderboard, bagging 1.42 million. Then it’s Nadya Magnus sitting third with 1.2 million. Magnus was the only female player to enter the field.
The other six players who will be in action on Tuesday are Thomas Boivin, Joseph Cheong, Chad Eveslage, David Peters, Dylan Smith, and Jake Daniels. Peters comes into the final day seventh in chips with 510,000 and will be looking to improve his standing on the PokerGO Tour presented by Guaranteed Rate leaderboard, where he currently sits 12th.
The top 13 places paid in this event, and it was Alex Foxen busting on the money bubble. After Foxen went out, Bin Weng fell in 13th place, Barry Hutter was eliminated in 12th place, John Riordan busted in 11th place, and then Brandon Adams hit the rail in 10th place. Adams’ exit signaled the end of the day.
