Nine Remain in Contention for $629,345 First Prize, Joe McKeehen Leads

Starting at 1 p.m. ET, the final nine players of Event #39: $25,500 “The Big 4” High Roller at the 2021 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open will battle for the $629,345 first-place prize. Joe McKeehen leads the way with 2.235 million in chips and will be looking to add another trophy to his long list of accomplishments that include three WSOP gold bracelets and the 2015 World Series of Poker Main Event title. McKeehen entered this event in 17th on poker’s all-time money list with nearly $17.7 million in live tournament earnings.
Second in chips is Darren Elias, a four-time World Poker Tour champion, and then it’s the lone female that entered the field, Nadya Magnus, in third place on the leaderboard. Elias has 1.42 million in chips and Magnus has 1.2 million.
Chad Eveslage comes into the final table with 645,000 in chips and is in sixth place of the final nine. Eveslage is having his best year on the live tournament felt, already pocketing nearly $1.8 million in live tournament earnings (according to HendonMob.com) entering this event. In April, Eveslage won Event #24: $25,500 NL High Roller at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown right here at Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida. For that win, Eveslage picked up $767,576. In July, Eveslage won WPT Venetian for $910,370.
Behind Eveslage on the leaderboard in David Peters with 510,000 in chips. Peters sits 12th on the PokerGO Tour presented by Guaranteed Rate leaderboard and will be looking to improve his standing.
