Chris Brewer Leads Final 24 in $25K High Roller

The high roller action continued on Monday at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown with the $25,000 buy-in High Roller taking center stage in Salon West at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
The 145-entrant field was the biggest ever for a $25,000 buy-in tournament at Seminole which continued the record-setting of the week following the record-setting WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Main Event field of 2,482 entrants, and the 42-entrant $50,000 Super Higher Roller that concluded on Thursday with Arthur Conan winning $733,320 in prize money
Over 100 unique players made up the $3,581,500 prize pool that would pay the final 20 players with $970,600 reserved for the eventual winner. High roller regulars such as James Romero, Jake Schindler, Chris Hunichen, Dan Smith, Joe McKeehen, Jeremy Ausmus, Kristen Bicknell, Sergi Reixach, Bryn Kenney, Alex Foxen, and Erik Seidel were a handful of the casualties that exited before Day 1 concluded with just 24 players remaining.
Leading those players is Chris Brewer is fresh off the Day 1 chip lead in the $50,000 Super High Roller and an eventual third-place finish. Brewer finished with 1,895,000 in chips and edged out Sean Perry who bagged 1,630,000. The other players rounding out the top five chip counts as the only players in the seven-figure club included Chad Eveslage (1,540,000), Darren Elias (1,260,000), and Byron Kaverman (1,185,000). Other notable players surviving into Day 2 included Aaron Van Blarcum, Cary Katz, Ali Imsirovic, Will Failla, Brock Wilson, Sean Winter, Tim Reilly, and Isaac Baron.
