Chris Brewer Leads Final 6 in $50k Super High Roller
The action heated up on Wednesday at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown with the $50,000 buy-in Super High Roller taking center stage in Salon West at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
The 42-entrant field was the biggest ever for a $50,000 buy-in tournament at Seminole as it eclipsed the previous mark by one player. The $2,037,000 prize pool would reserve payouts for the top seven finishers with the grand prize of $733,320 set aside for the eventual champion.
Beginning the day with over 30 unique players, a who’s who of high roller regular came and went as the likes of Alex Foxen, Ali Imsirovic, Darren Elias, Erik Seidel, Chris Hunichen, Dan Smith, Jake Schindler, and Jason Mercier all found themselves on the rail. Once the tournament was reduced to the final table of eight, it would be Aaron Van Blarcum being eliminated on the money bubble after he lost a flip to Sean Winter.
With the final seven players now in-the-money, recently crowned WPT Champion Ilyas Muradi would fall in seventh place after running into the pocket aces of Chris Brewer. Once play concluded shortly after following the completion of 15 levels of play, it would be Brewer on top with 1,640,000 in chips. Just behind Brewer is Seth Davies who amassed a stack of 1,520,000 in chips, while Sam Soverel sits with 1,145,000 in chips. Rounding out the final table is Sean Winter who finished on 510,000, while the bottom of the leaderboard sees Jeremy Ausmus (260,000) and Arthur Conan (170,000) battling with 13 and 9 big blinds respectively.
