The penultimate event of the 2022 Stairway To Millions has reached the final three players following the elimination of Anuj Agarwal in fourth place. Ali Imsirovic holds the chip lead with nearly a two-to-one advantage over his final table combatants Nick Petrangelo and Chris Brewer.
The final three players have each locked up $168,000 in prize and a seat into the Event #8: $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em finale, but all eyes will be locked on the $567,000 first place prize.
Event #7: $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em kicked off with two new faces to the 2022 Stairway To Millions in Jason Koon and Sean Perry being part of the 21-entrant field that yielded a $1,050,000 prize pool. Once the field was reduced to a final table following the conclusion of registration ending, a swift double knockout of Sean Perry and Bill Klein put the field down to the final five. Koon’s run would end in fifth place to leave a final four that was expected to return to conclude play on the PokerGO stream, but following a decision to keep playing, play continued.
Chips circled between all four players before the final hand would see Anuj Agarwal all-in with [KsQs] against the pocket sevens of Imsirovic. Imsirovic flopped a set, but Agarwal turned a flush. The board paired on the river and Agarwal would be the bubble boy as just three players were set to return for the PokerGO stream on Wednesday.
