Welcome back to the Merit Royal Hotel Casino & Spa in North Cyprus for Day 2 of the $250,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl Europe presented by Luxon Pay.
The opening day of the Super High Roller Bowl Europe attracted a total of 31 entrants as just 22 players remained once play was halted after six levels. Leading those remaining players into Day 2 is Event #6 runner-up Sam Greenwood who topped the chip counts with 757,000 in chips. Trailing the Canadian are Teun Mulder (560,000), Elton Tsang (551,000), and Ali Imsirovic (524,000) as the only players to have amassed over half a million in chips.
Others still in the hunt on Day 2 include previous Super High Roller Bowl champions including Christoph Vogelsang, Cary Katz, Timothy Adams, and Daniel Dvoress, along with Phil Ivey who is the current runaway leader on the Super High Roller Series leaderboard where the player that earns the most PGT points throughout the series will earn a $25,000 championship bonus and Super High Roller Series Championship.
Registration in Super High Roller Bowl Europe remains open until the start of play – approximately 1 p.m. local time. New entrants will sit with a 60-big blind chip stack as play on Day 2 continues until the final table is set. With the prize pool already approaching $8 million, just an additional 10 entrants will match last year’s mark of 41 entrants and send the prize pool north of $10 million.
