Stephen Chidwick just refuses to ever make a pot easy for another player to take away.
Chidwick three-bet to 20,000 following an 11,000 opening bet pre-flop from Darren Elias.
The big action of the hand came on the turn of the board showing [Ts8sJh8d], however, because Chidwick had [8c3d] and [KsQd] for Elias was no good.
Chidwick called with [4c4d] and Badziakouski checked his big blind option in the seat next to Britain’s most successful tournament player. The flop of [5s6c5c] saw both men check. Both men turned an open-ended straight draw on the [7h] turn and Chidwick checked again. Badziakouski bet 10,000 and got a call. The [Ah] river saw Chidwick check, staring down his opponent and watching him also check. Another hand for the impressive Stpehen Chidwick.
It’s been said in the PokerGO studio just now, and it’s absolutely true. The amount of times these players make the right decision is pretty incredible.
