Stephen Chidwick dropped a few chips in the middle secton of Level 11, then picked them right back up again. The first lost few went to Adrian Mateos, after he led for 30,000 on a flop of [9dKcTs] with [ThQc], having defended from the small blind preflop. Mateos, with [Js8h] on the button, raised to 105,000 which was enough to take the pot down.
Next up, Chidwick opened to 35,000 in early position with [Ad8d] and called a three-bet from Timothy Adams (110,000 total, his hand [AsQd]) to see a flop of [Ts6h4s]. He check-folded to Adams’ 150,000 bet at this juncture.
The next hand, Chidwick picked up the blinds and ante with a preflop raise to 35,000 with [Adqd].
A short while later, a turned flush vs. Ben Heath won him another pot of 215,000 even after his river bet of 275,000 went uncalled by his compatriot who held [Th8d] on a board of [3c8h4h5hAc] (Chidwick’s hand: [Qh7h]).

Leow Calls Badziakouski’s Jam with Bottom Pair on Turn, Is Briefly Ahead…
Ivan Leow raised to 35,000 when it folded to him on the button with [8c5c], making the call when Mikita Badziakouski three-bet to 125,000 with [Asqs]. On the [5sKcTd] flop, Badziakouski led for 75,000 with his gutshot draw and Leow made the call with a pair of fives. The turn brought the [7s] and an all in move from Badziakouski. This bet was for 375,000, enough to give Leow pause, but in the end he threw in a single call-signifying chip and Badziakouski’s tournament life was on the line.
Overs, spades, jacks: Badziakouski had a good few outs remaining, and the [Ks] was one of them. He doubles back into contention.

Leow’s Stack Re-Plumped
Ivan Leow raised preflop to 35,000 with [Ad7s], called by Mikita Badziakouski on the button with [AcJc] and big blind Adrian Mateos with [Kd2d]. A flop with something for everyone – [7c2s6c] – brought a bet from Leow of 40,000 and two calls. The [Ah] turn brought Badziakouski top pair to go with his nut flush draw; he called when Leow bet 120,000 (Mateos folded). On the [5s], Leow led for 225,000 and Badziakouski called once again, losing a pot of over 700,000.

Vogelsang Spikes River Set
Christoph Vogelsang took over 250,000 chips from Ivan Leow in a pot that saw him outdraw the preflop three-bettor with [6h6d] vs. [TsTc]. Leow had made it 93,000 to go preflop (from 26,000) and Vogelsang called. He proceeded to call two more bets, one on the [Js3h2d] flop and 162,000 on the [8h] turn. The river brought Vogelsang the [6s]; he checked once again but this time Leow declined to bet then kissed his tens and threw them in the muck when he saw Vogelsang’s hand.

One-Way Traffic Toward Mateos
Three pots in a row for Adrian Mateos: one chunky one of half a million started with a Christoph Vogelsang raise to 26,000 with [5h5d]. Ivan Leow raised to 93,000 with [AsQh] and Mateos called the three-bet with [JdJh]. Vogelsang called too, but dropped out when facing a bet of 117,000 from Leow on a [6ctc8s flop]. Mateos called. Both players checked the [Td] turn and Leow threw his hand away when faced with a bet of 104,000 on the [3c] river from Mateos.

![](https://storage.googleapis.com/pokercentral/2020/03/d267ef13-49658461577_b59e60a9ab_c.jpg)
Adrian Mateos, defending, his big blind with [Kh4c] from an open from Wai Leong Chan who held [TcTs], hit three of a kind on a board to which his opponent flopped an overpair: [8s4s4d]. Mateos check-raised Chan’s 25,000 bet to 70,000 and Chan made the call. Mateos led out for 85,000 on the [qc] turn and Chan called once more. On the [9s] river, Mateos set his opponent all in for 220,000 effective. A bit of pondering time later, and Chan decided to call, the last decision he’ll make in the Super High Roller Bowl Sochi this year.
