Luc Greenwood Secures Double with Aces
Cary Katz holding [As8s] had called a three-bet (40,000) from button Luc Greenwood, seeing an enticing flop of [AdTsKs]. Greenwood, however, had flopped a set with [AhAc]. He bet 20,000 when Katz checked to him on the flop, then another 50,000 on a [3c] turn. Katz called both here and on the [Th] river when Greenwood jammed for his last 94,000 having improved to a full house.

Alexey Rybin Sends Juan Pardo Dominguez to the Rail
Alexey Rybin opened from under the gun and Juan Pardo Dominguez pushed his remaining stack into the middle, Rybin called.

Second Giant Triple Barrel Bluff Gets Through for Adams
Eye-opening play from Timothy Adams this afternoon on the feature table: a second huge bluff over three streets (again with queen high) has won him another big pot, this time from Luc Greenwood.
Adams opened preflop to 11,000 with [QsJd], called by Luc Greenwood with [AsKh] – who, it looks like, did not see the raise in front of him – and Jason Koon in the big blind with [Th3h].
It checked to Adams on a [5hAd9d] flop; he bet 23,000, called by Greenwood with top-top.
Turn: [3d]. Greenwood check-called again, this time for 29,000.
River: [Kc]. Greenwood checked what had now become top two. Adams moved all in for 313,000 (covering Greenwood) into the 140,000 pot. Greenwood put his face in his hands and made a deep reach into his time extension cards. Eventually he made the fold; Adams picks up another big pot with sheer chutzpah.

Katz Continues to Build
Cary Katz extended his early stack rise at the expense of Bryn Kenney after a pot with a strange start (it looked like he’d called with [4x6x] mistaking the need for an ante – he has been playing a lot of Short Deck, after all). Katz hit a pair of fours and refused to be dislodged by Kenney including to a river bluff bet, which he snap-called to win a modest second pot in ten minutes.
Kenney, shortly thereafter, jammed [Ac2c] from the small blind (for 144,000 total) after a button open from Timothy Adams (with [Ah3c]) to 12,000. Big blind Cary Katz folded an ace of his own ([Ax9x]) and Adams, too, laid his hand down.

Katz’s Big Slick Limp Pays Off; He Doubles Through Adams
Moments after winning that huge pot against Jason, Koon, Tim Adams picked up [AhQc] in early position, opening to 11,000. New neighbour Bryn Kenney called with [KdJd], as did cutoff Cary Katz with [AdKs]. Over to button Vicente Bosca Ramon who had another ace-and-paint combo – the [AcJh] – and threebet to 48,000.
Action back on Adams, who decided to jam, setting in all three opponents who had less than half his chips apiece. Kenny and Bosca folded but Katz called all in sharpish.
The bigger ace stayed ahead over a [3h5d8s7s2s] run-out and Cary Katz, winner of Super High Roller Bowl London on his fourth final table this week, doubles through.

Timothy Adams Triple Barrel Bluffs His Way to a 600k Stack
No more than a couple of big blinds changed hands in any one of the first four hands on the televised table of Day 2 of the Main Event (Vicente Bosca Ramon involved in some way in three of them), before a hugely tense pot played out between start of day chip leader Jason Koon (on the button) and Tim Adams in the small blind.
It folded to Koon, who made it 12,000 to go with [6s5s]. Adams three-bet to 40,000 with [QcJd] and Koon made the call, hitting a pair of fives on the [8c2h5c] flop. Adams bet 50,000; call. He bet again, 125,000 this time, on the [2d] turn and Koon called again. The river brought the [3c] and a full emptying of the clip from Adams, who shipped in his remaining 176,000, still with queen high. Koon went into the tank.
“It’s real easy just to have king of clubs, queen, man,” said Koon as he thought about calling through a timebank’s extra 30 seconds.
“I’ll leave it up to the gods,” he said, before passing his hand.
