Welcome to Day 2 of $250,000 Super High Roller Bowl Russia
The second day of Event #8: $250,000 Super High Roller Bowl Russia is slated to begin at 2 p.m. (MSK) with 23 of the 34 entries returning from Day 1 minimum as the late registration period is still open for another level here on Day 2 and more players are expected to jump in during this time.
Starting the day off as chipleader is Jason Koon with 745,000 after his best Day 1 performance of the series. Close behind Koon on the totem pole is Triton Poker co-founder Paul Phua who bagged a healthy-sized 666,500 by night’s end and will be in hunt of his fifth final table during this Sochi Series.
Rounding out the top three is one of the best in the world in Stephen Chidwick who hasn’t had the best of weeks but will be starting Day 2 in a prime position to turn it around with his 598,500 in chips. Chidwick has been a high roller regular for as long as most can remember, amassing over $34 million in career earnings along the way and will be looking to bump that number up here in the main event.
