Chidwick Muscles Cappello Out of Pot on the Flop
Two of the biggest stacks clashed at the final table of Event #1 and it was the defending champ who came out on top in this battle.
After Joseph Cappello called the 40,000 chip big blind from middle position, Stephen Chidwick rasied to 140,000 from the cutoff. That was enough to get both blinds to fold back to Cappello who came along for the flop.
The flop showed [TcAh2h] and Cappello checked to Chidwick, who then bet 100,000. Cappello gave up on the hand after the flop and after the dust settled Chidwick had a half million chip lead on his counterpart in the hand.
Chidwick is currently the chip leader nine-handed at the final table.
