Alex Foxen Left Short After Failed River Bluff
In a hand that started out relatively tame it escalated quickly.
It all began with an under the gun raise to 17,000 by Alex Foxen, who was called by Sean Winter from his big blind.
Winter checked the [9h5c4s] flop, Foxen made a continuation bet of 15,000, only to get check-raised by Winter to 40,000. Foxen called.
On the [6s] turn Winter eyed Foxen’s stack and bet 25,000.
Foxen counted his stack and made the call.
On the [4d] river Winter checked and Foxen bet 110,000, leaving himself only 41,000 behind.
Winter then used a time extension, re-checked his cards, made the call and the players tabled their hands,
Foxen tabled [QsTs] for the bluff and Winter tabled [8d8c] for two pair.
