Welcome to the ARIA Resort & Casino and the PokerGO Studio for the 2019 U.S. Poker Open and Event #3 – $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em.
In 2018, the U.S. Poker Open was a new event added to the string of Poker Central high roller tournaments and the eight events on the schedule saw the likes of Justin Bonomo, Mike Gorodinsky, Stephen Chidwick, Ben Tollerene, Benjamin Pollak, David Peters, and Keith Tilston capture victories over the course of 11 days. On the back of back-to-back victories in Event 3 and Event 4, along with two other final tables, Chidwick would be crowned the U.S. Poker Open Champion after amassing $1,256,650 in earnings.
Chidwick has kicked off this year’s U.S. Poker Open by winning Event #1 – $10,000 No Limit Hold’em for $216,000 after defeating Sean Winter heads-up. Winter however is in line to take Chidwick’s top spot on the U.S. Poker Open points leaderboard as he made back-to-back final tables in Event #2 – $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha.With a fifth-place finish Winter will tie Chidwick on 200 points, while a fourth-place finish or better and he will take the lead. Jordan Cristos is currently the chip leader and best positioned to capture the $179,200 first prize on a final table that consists of Cary Katz, Manig Loeser, Martin Zamani, Adam Hendrix, and Winter.

Today will see the third event of the U.S. Poker Open with Event #3 – $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em. Players will begin with 125,000 in starting chips and be playing 30-minute levels with play ending once the final table is down to six players. There are no tournament fees for players who register by 2 p.m. (EST) and each player is allowed two re-entries through the first nine levels (ending approximately 7 p.m. local time). There is also a 30-second shot clock in play for the duration of the tournament and each player will receive three 60-second time banks each day.
In 2018, Ben Tollerene defeated Jake Schindler heads-up to collect the $187,600 first-place prize over the 67-entry field. Ryan Riess, Katz, Kristina Holst, Rodger Johnson, Ben Yu, Brent Hanks, Keith Tilston, and David Peters all finished in the money.
