Cary Katz limped the button with [KcQs6s3c] and Tom Marchese raised the pot to 240,000 and Katz called.
The flop came [Jc9h4h] and Marchese was first to act. There was 600,000 in the pot and Marchese made it a pot bet to go with [QhQcJs5s]. Katz reraised to get the rest of Marchese’s chips into the pot and Marchese called.
The players tabled their hands and the sweat was over pretty quick when the [2c] hit the turn, giving Katz a flush and left Marchese drawing dead. The river, though irrelevant was the [6c].
This puts Katz in the chip leader to face Chidwick heads up for the Event #6 title. Chidwick is now in the lead of the overall USPO standings and Katz is in third place. The result of this tournament could play a huge role as the USPO is more than half over.
