Brandon Adams has an almost two-to-one chip lead over Nick Schulman with four players remaining in the $25,000 8-game mix tournament. Chris Vitch and Randy Ohel are behind Schulman, but Adams may have his work cut out for him with such a collection of mixed game proficient players set against him.
Here is the seating chart with chip counts for the start of play today at 5 p.m. EST.
Seat | Player | Chip Count |
1 | Randy Ohel | 239,000 |
2 | Brandon Adams | 1,217,000 |
3 | Chris Vitch | 280,000 |
4 | Nick Schulman | 675,000 |
Vitch, Ohel, and Schulman have five bracelets between them and they are all in non-Hold’em events. Adams is obviously more than capable, bringing in a big lead with four remaining. Vitch finished second in this event last year. He lost heads up to Stephen Chidwick, who was on his way to the overall title.
Chidwick still leads the overall title this year with Sean Winter and Cary Katz behind him. There are two more events after this one and Chidwick stands to be at the top going into the final table of Event #9 – $50,000 No-Limit Hold’em. However, with 350 points going to the winner this event and the winner of Event #10 – $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event, several players have a shot at overtaking him and becoming the next USPO Champion.
