The 2019 U.S. Poker Open is rapidly approaching its epic finale with the $50,000 No Limit Holdem event kicking off today followed by the $100,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event on Friday. Tonight at 8:00 pm local Las Vegas, ARIA is putting on a $10,000+$200 satellite for this event inside the PokerGO Studio, and here’s all you need to know.
Hosted inside the PokerGO Studio, this satellite will award one seat for every 10 entries and prize money that doesn’t result in a seat will be paid as one sum to the highest finisher that didn’t get a $100,000 seat. Seats won are non-transferrable, non-refundable and have no cash value.
Players that win their way into the U.S. Poker Open Event #10 $100,000 Main Event will be automatically registered and their chips will be in play from the start of the event at 2:00 pm PT on Friday.
This event will be played with a big-blind ante and players start with 125,000 chips. Unlimited re-entries are available through the first eight 20-minute levels after which there will be a 10-minute break. This event has a 20-second shot clock along with two 60-second time extensions.

Ryan Riess’ Bluff Doesn’t Get Through Against Dan Shak
Ryan Riess raised in the cutoff to 4,000 and Dan Shak called on the button. The blinds folded and the two remaining players saw a flop of [6h4cQd]. They both checked and then watched the [Qc] appear on the turn. Riess bet out 4,000 and his opponent called.
The river was the [9d]. The 2013 WSOP Main Event champion again bet, this time for 7,000 and was snap-called by Shak who tabled [8d8h]. Riess showed [5x7x] for a missed straight draw.

Erik Seidel Picks Off Koray Aldemir with King-High
Erik Seidel opened to 3,500 from the cutoff and Koray Aldemir called from the big blind.
The flop landed [AdTh7h] and Aldemir checked to Seidel who bet 4,000. Aldemir called, and then both players checked the [Ah] on the turn.
The river landed the [4c] and Aldemir bet out 5,500.
Seidel thought for a little, then tossed in calling chips.
“You win,” remarked Aldemir as he tabled his [9s8h] for nine-high.
Seidel tabled his [KsJc] for king-high, and was pushed the pot.

Nick Petrangelo’s Big Blind Defense Pays Off in 3-Way Pot
Rainer Kempe raised from middle position to 3,500 and got called by Stephen Chidwick from the button and Nick Petrangelo from his big blind.
After all three players checked the [9c5h8h] flop Petrangelo led out on the [Jd] turn for 8,000, which was enough to get Kempe to fold, but Chidwick hung around.
The [Ts] completed the board and Petrangelo once again led out, this time for 9,000, which was the right amount to get Chidwick to send his cards to the muck.

Seth Davies’ River Raise Gets Elio Fox to Fold
