Schindler Doubles, Joao Vieira Stays Alive

Back-to-back hands swung Joao Vieira’s stack and both involved Jake Schindler.
In the first, Schindler opened the button and Vieira, who was in the big blind, shoved for just under a starting stack. Schindler called, putting his tournament life and final 67,000 on the line.
Schindler was flipping for that tournament life, with [AsQs] against Vieira’s [3c3s].
The [8h7c4c] flop kept the small pocket pair in the lead, but it couldn’t stay in front. Schindler hit the [Qh] on the turn and Vieira was unable to find one of the remaining treys on the river.
In the very next hand, Schindler and Vieira matched up again. This time, Vieira was at risk and behind after shoving his final 19,000 with [AcJs]. Schindler held [AsKc] and looked poised to score his first British Poker Open knockout until Vieira found a jack on the turn.
When the dust settled, Schindler was behind close to a starting stack and Vieira regrouped with 20 big blinds.

Katz Raises Loeser on the Turn
Cary Katz raised under the gun to 6,000 and Jake Schindler called on the button after which Manig Loeser called in the small blind. Joao Vieira folded the big blind and the flop brought out [As7h9s] and all three players checked.
On the turn the [7d] hit and Loeser bet 5,000 after which Katz raised to 14,000. Schindler folded and Loeser gave it some thought before kicking his cards towards the muck.

Flink Flops a Flush
After unknown pre flop action [2c5cJc] was laid out on the table when Stephen Chidwick checked from the big blind. Barry Shulman, in early position, bet 20,000 and both Robert Flink and Mike Watson called from the cutoff and button.
Chidwick folded and the turn brought the [2d] on which Shulman and Flink checked to Watson. The Canadian pro gave it some thought before betting 27,000 and only Flink called.
The river was the [Ad] and Flink checked again after which Watson paused before checking behind. Flink tabled [Qc9c] and that was enough to take down the pot.

Watson Clips Chidwick, Well Over 300K
While most of the field is playing near the chip average, Mike Watson has well over double that amount heading into Level 5.
The Canadian busted Stephen Chidwick, who quickly rejoined Table 2, and Watson is now playing just over 340,000. That’s good for more than three starting stacks and Watson is the only player at either table that has more than two times what they’ve started with.

Katz vs. Soverel
Cary Katz raised to 4,500 from the button and both blinds, Sam Soverel and Jake Schindler, made the call.
The flop brought out [Ac6s2h] and Katz continued for 6,000 only to be called by Soverel.
On the turn, the [Kc] popped up and both players checked. The river was the [6c] and Soverel bet 17,000 after which Katz quickly folded [TcTd] face up.
