There are some very fluid chipstacks right now three-handed in this Event #2 final table and at the latest break, it’s Sam Soverel who is rising in the counts.
Stephen Chidwick had [Jh9s9c4c] against Soverel’s hand of [AcKh5c3d] on a board of [4s8dQs4d], which saw Chidwick bet again to sneak over a million chips.
Soverel then bet 105,000 which was called by chip leader George Wolff. Soverel’s hand of [QcTd9d8d] hit the flop of [Jd7s8s] well, with Wolff’s [AdQs6h2d] behind at that stage. Both players checked flop and turn of [2s], but the [9c] river saw Soverel lead out for 120,000, taking down the pot.
Chidwick’s hand of [AsTh6c6d] then flopped bottom set against Wolff’s [AhQc7h5d] with the flop coming a dramatic [6h9c8d]. Chidwick’s bet of 45,000 was only called by Wolff, but the turn [Qs] and river of [Ts] saw both players check it down and Wolff revealed his straight to win the hand.

Soverel raised to 80,000 with [KdTd9d2s] and Chidwick alone called with [KsJs6d4d].
The flop of [7s5h4h] saw Chidwick grab the betting lead and take down the pot, stacking up the latest chips after a series of small wins.

All three players went to see a flop here in Event #2 of the British Poker Open, as the £10,000 PLO final builds to a climax.
Here were the hands the three called with.
George Wolff: [8s7c6d4d]
Stephen Chidwick [Adjd7h3h]
Sam Soverel [AhTc5h4c]
A flop of [2hQd6h] saw Chidwick bet 110,000 and only get a call from Sam Soverel, but on the turn [2d], Chidwick moved to bet 300,000, covering Soverel’s stack, setting him all-in.
Soverel, who used a time bank chip of an extra 60 seconds, had a huge decision to consider but eventually made the call, and needed one of 13 outs to survive. Unlucky for someone.
Any heart would do for Soverel to double and the river of [Qh] meant he did just that. George Wolff retains his lead, but Soverel and Chidwick swap places in his wake.

In his latest pot, Wolff raised to 75,000 pre-flop with [KdJhTh7c] and was called only by Sam Soverel with [Jd9c8c7d].
On the flop of [QhKc5c], Wolff’s c-bet of 190,000 took the pot down and leaps over 2 million chips.

Gavin Cochrane has left Event #2 here in London as the first 35 minutes of play have seen three players busted in short order.
Cochrane pushed all-in on the turn, with the board showing [6d2hQh4c]. Cochrane’s [AhKh8s7d] needed help from a heart against Sam Soverel’s [Qd8h4d3s], but the [8d] on the river saw Cochrane leave for £30,000 instead.
A blistering start has left the following chip counts, with Sam Soverel and Stephen Chidwick closing in a little on the almost-static stack of George Wolff since the start of play at this incredible final table.

Both the Finnish players are finished. Just minutes after the exit of Jens Kyllonen, Jono Jouhkimainen has followed his compatriot out of the door here at Aspers Casino in Stratford, East London.
Jouhkimainen was all-in pre-flop with [AcJh9s6c] against Stephen Chidwick’s [QcQs9c5d] and the flop of [3hQh3c] had him in a world os trouble. The turn [Jc] and river [Kd] saw his time in the event come to an end as Chidwick grows his stack, albeit not by too much this time with Jouhkimainen so short at the start of the hand.

We’re already down to just five players here at the final table of Event #2’s £10,000 buy-in PLO.
Jens Kyllonen is the unfortunate player to have left in sixth place, missing out on the money, after he held [9h8h6d6s] against Sam Soverel’s [AdQsTs9d] and across the board of [6c8dAs3s7c] saw Soverel river a straight to send him home.
The other Finnish player at the final table, Joni Jouhkimainen is now extremely short-stacked too.
Cochrane was all-in and at risk pre-flop with [AdAhJc6d] against A board of [5sTdKsAc8s] saw Gavin Cochrane double-up to 324,000 and Jouhkimainen take a massive hit to his hopes of a title here in London.
