Watson’s Rough Start
Mike Watson has burned through three bullets already and with a wry smile he said, “They just kept giving me king-jack.”
Watson summarized his elimination by explaining that he moved in for 60,000 and was called by Mikita Badziakouski. Watson showed [AxQx] and Badziakouski showed [AxJx].
“Your readers will enjoy this,” Watson smiled, “Because the flop was ace-jack-jack.”
Watson found no miracles on the turn or river and has since re-entered this event.

Chin Wei Lim Looks to Continue Short Deck Run
Chin Wei Lim made a brief appearance earlier in this British Poker Open series and he’s returned for today’s £10K Short Deck event.
While Lim’s biggest career score came in this summer’s £1,000,000 buy-in Triton Million, he’s also picked up a few sizable Short Deck cashes.
Two of those results came in that same Triton Million series and Lim’s most recent came in Barcelona when he finished 2nd in a €25,000 Short Deck event for almost €150,000.
Lim isn’t the only player in today’s field with Short Deck experience, but if momentum means anything he could be one to watch.

Straight for Tsang
After a limped pot that included all seven players the flop showed [Kh7dQc] on which Robert Flink bet 4,000 on the flop. Anson Tsang called the bet and the other players folded.
The turn brought the [As] and Flink check-called a bet of 16,000 from Tsang. The board completed on the river with the [7h] and Flink check-called another 38,000. Tsang showed [JhTs] and with his straight he took down this pot.

The fourth event of the British Poker Open brings both players and fans a nice change of pace with two days of Short Deck action. The action is set to get underway at 12:00 pm local time and to continue until just six players remain.
During the U.S. Poker Open earlier this year, Sean Winter won the $10,000 Short Deck by beating a field of 42 entries. David Peters finished second on his way to winning the U.S. Poker Open Championship ahead of Sean Winter and defending champion Stephen Chidwick.
Today, all the big names that have played in the British Poker Open until now are expected to make an appearance. All players receive three 100,000 bullets per buy-in and have the ability to do two re-entries in total.
Stay tuned for coverage of this event all day and while you’re at it, tune into the PokerGO Live Stream of Event #3 at 1:00 pm local London time.
You're all caught up!
